Sydney has a long history of hosting some of Ireland's best Traditional Irish musicians, and the Restless Legs brings together three of the finest for a musical experience not to be missed. From toe-tapping jigs and reels, to powerful and soulful songs and slower pieces, they cover Irish music in all its variety and complexity. Hailing from County Laois, deep in the heart of Ireland, Fiddler Louise Phelan brings a rare lift and drive to her playing, and has been exciting audiences all over Australia since making Sydney her home 5 years ago. Louis is joined by concertina player Aisling Vaughan from County Cork, a part of Ireland (in)famous for it’s wild music. Aisling is a recent arrival to Sydney, and as a holder of multiple All-Ireland titles is a mighty addition to the local scene. Rounding off the trio is local lad Benno Stephenson on guitar and flute, who has gained quite a following both here and overseas with the award-winning Australian Irish band Trouble in the Kitchen.
